Welcome to my carrd! My name is Phoenix, and I'm a writer who really loves cats. I have posted over 150 stories on AO3 ranging from 242 to 186,852 words in various fandoms, including Kingdom Hearts, The Legend of Zelda, Final Fantasy, and Star Wars. I enjoy writing canon compliant stories drawing on existing settings, characters, and plot points, but I also love writing AUs based on fairy tales, folklore, and mythology.I also enjoy doing editing/beta work and proofreading as well as analyzing my favorite pieces of media. I occasionally translate game dialogue, developer interviews, and excerpts from game novelizations from Japanese to English for fun and incorporate my own translation notes and linguistic analysis.I have assisted four zines with Japanese to English and English to Japanese translations so that Japanese speaking contributors could join English language projects, and I have also been a writing moderator on three zines. My duties have included editing and proofreading 1500-2200 word stories for 7-12 writers per project. Thanks to my moderation work, I also have experience developing and organizing projects and managing groups of up to 60 people.For the past five years, I have also run SoKai Week and SoKai Day, which celebrate the pairing Sora/Kairi from Kingdom Hearts with a themed list of prompts that changes every year.
